New styling with Fearne Cotton

Looking forward to sharing some of my favourite images from Fearne’s new book ‘Cook, Eat, Love’ which I’ve been working on recently. Due to be published in June this year. My styling also featured in her current book ‘Happy’.

Styling for Fearne Cotton’s ‘Cook Happy, Cook Healthy’

After a very busy start to the Summer I’m finally getting around to posting some of my favourite images from the book I styled for Fearne Cotton’s debut cookbook ‘Cook Happy, Cook Healthy’ published in June! Fearne was such a joy to work with and I loved that she shared my passion for quirky props! Huge thanks to all the brands that contributed to the book including Smeg, Anthropologie, Talking Tables, Lavinia’s Tea Party, Sophie Allport, Lights4fun, Oliver Bonas, Forest and company, Fired Earth, Melody Rose, Refound Objects and Liberty of London. Food styling by the lovely Jordan Bourke and Photography by Tamin Jones.

A visit to Hong Kong

I’ve just spent 5 weeks backpacking around Asia starting in Hong Kong and what an incredible city it was! I found the way people lived in these huge skyscrappers fascinating. Hundreds and hundreds of tiny pastel windows piled high on each other. It was a great place to get accustomed to my new Sony mirrorless camera! I stayed on Hong Kong Island but would travel over to Kowloon every day and loved the buzz of this side of town. I was pretty taken by the amazing colourful signage that flanked each road in Mongkok….and also the dim sum on offer (check out Ding Dim in you’re in the area). On the tourist trail I visited Big Buddha and Lantau Island. Dinner in Soho was fun (The Drunken Duck for the best crispy duck you will ever eat) along with a trip up the outdoor escalator which was very welcome on a hot and humid evening. I also managed to squeeze in a day trip over to Macau in China which is famed as a gambling mecca along with it’s Portuguese history (hello custard tarts and beautiful architecture). Three days wasn’t nearly enough time and I hope to return in the not too distant future!
